Halloween Party ~ SPOOKtacular Fun

Last Day of The S.I.T.S. Halloween Parade --- Enjoy!

Marine and I decided that this year we were going to go as cheap as we could on Halloween costumes. We are trying to save money (which who isn't) so we racked our brains to come up with ideas of what we could be....


Between his uniforms and hunting gear we had camo coming out the wazoo. 


But that's not original.


I have cowboy hats, spurs, boots, lassos..... but again thats not really original.


Then Marine had a lightbulb moment....


Football player and cheerleader. Me the football player and him the cheerleader.


He goes out to the barn and pulls down a few plastic tubs and starts digging till he has produced 3 football uniforms. I go with his old middle school uniform.


Now the cheerleader costume was a little harder.... I called my friends -- nothing.


So we went the next best route.

I wore Marine's uniform and painted black streaks on my face with mascara. 


Marine wore a football t-shirt, khakis, and black tennis shoes. He carried a clipboard with a piece of paper on it that had scribbled football plays and he wore a whistle around his neck.


Guess how much this cost us?? A whopping $1.98 --- we had to buy a whistle.


They may not have been the best costumes ever, but for the price I was quite pleased!!


We all seemed to get a bit creative this year.... Blondie and her fiancée were Beer Pong Champs; Giggles was a flapper and her husband a gangster; and Vixen, VB, and another guy friend were Snap, Crackle, Pop -- the rice crispy guys.


Then of course there were the usual French maid, werewolf, scarecrow, 80's hair band, etc.

It was a fun night. We played cornhole --- which I won at; and Beer Pong --- which I lost at.

Marine and I left early because Sunday was going to be his last day home and we had to much planned to spend that last day hungover. But like Halloween parties of the past, it was still a blast!

Barney: You know what I love about Halloween? It's the one night of the year chicks use to unleash their inner ho-bag. If a girl dresses up as a witch, she's a slutty witch. If she's a cat, she's a slutty cat. If she's a nurse... 

Lily Aldrin: Wow, we get it. 

Barney: ...she's a slutty nurse.
